Thomas Coker, tenor, is a lifelong minister of music, having served in that capacity at South Main Baptist Church in midtown Houston since the fall of 1987 and previously at churches in Falls Church, Virginia and Colorado Springs, Colorado. A native of South Carolina, Thomas holds degrees from North Greenville College, South Carolina, Baylor University, and Southwestern Baptist Seminary. His choirs have sung at the Texas Choir Directors Association and have toured in England, Scotland, Canada, and the U.S. He is a member of the American Choir Directors Association and the Texas Choir Directors Association, where he serves on the board as vice president for church music. He loves to compose and arrange music, and several of his pieces have been published. Thomas has been a member of the Houston Chamber Choir since the fall of 2000.
