Daria Myers

Daria Myers, alto, is a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory with a master’s degree in Musicology. She began a lifelong passion for music in the Loktev Ensemble’s choir in Moscow, Russia, performing on concert tours to Japan, France, and Belgium as well as in her native country. In Moscow she taught music theory, ear training, piano and choir in the Loktev Ensemble. Daria has worked in theater management, and in production for the International Music Festival of A. Schnittke. She also performed as a singer in Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita. In the U.S. Daria has earned a Texas teacher's certificate and has completed two levels of the Kodaly certification at University of Houston’s’ Moores School of Music. Daria teaches choir at Queens Intermediate in Pasadena Independent School District. She has sung with the Houston Chamber Choir since 2009.
