  Lynelle Rowley
Soprano
Lynelle Rowley, soprano, is a native of Iowa, and has been living and singing in the Houston area since 2003. Operatic roles include Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Helena in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream,  Micaëla in Carmen, Nanny Broom in Argento’s Miss Havisham’s Fire, and Lucy in Robert Nelson’s A Room with a View, which is available on DVD under the Newport Classic label. Most recently she played Lady Valerie in Amy Beach’s Cabildo in New Orleans with Opera Vista. Lynelle has enjoyed singing with Houston Bach Society, Mercury Baroque, Grinnell Symphony Orchestra, Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra, among others. She finds special joy in premiering new works, which she has had the privilege to do many times over the past few years. Lynelle directs the choir at Bethel Church of Houston. Lynelle has sung with the Houston Chamber Choir since 2004.
