  Lynelle Rowley
Soprano
Lynelle Rowley, soprano, is a native of Iowa and has performed in and around Houston since 2004. Favorite operatic roles include Micaela in Bizet’s Carmen, Rosalinda in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, Helena in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Lucy in Robert Nelson’s A Room with a View, recorded under the Newport Classic label. In April, Lynelle will perform with Opera Vista in Amy Beach’s Cabildo as Lady Valerie. Recent concert appearances include Honnegger’s Le Roi David with the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and Verdi’s Requiem with the Grinnell Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed as the soprano soloist for Vivaldi’s Gloria, Bach’s Magnificat, Handel’s Alexander’s Feast and Stravinsky’s Les Noces, and has enjoyed several performances with the Houston Bach Society. Lynelle is also the director of the choir at Bethel Church in Houston. Lynelle has sung with the Houston Chamber Choir since 2004.
