Daniel Buchanan received
his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Shepherd
School of Music, Rice University. Recent opera roles include the
title role in Albert Herring, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni,
and Ferrando in Così fan tutte. He has been a soloist
with the Houston Chamber Choir (St. John Passion and Messiah)
Bach Society of Houston (St. Matthew Passion), the Houston
Choral Society (H.M.S. Pinafore), the Gilbert and Sullivan
Society of Houston (Princess Ida), Opera in the Heights
(Abduction from the Seraglio), and the Mercury Baroque
Ensemble. He has served on the voice faculties of Wheaton College
and Montgomery College. This is Daniel’s third season in the
Houston Chamber Choir.
