Houston Baptist University's We are honored to be selected by the NEA as one of three ensembles in the nation to host a major festival celebrating our nation’s choral music. On this occasion the Chamber Choir will present a portrait of American originals as diverse as our country—Charles Ives, Stephen Foster, Alice Parker and William Dawson, along with a world premiere from Christopher Theofanidis, a Houston native now on the faculties of Juilliard and Peabody. village wedding provides Da Camera of Houston and the Chamber Choir
with their first opportunity to collaborate. Les Noces is the centerpiece
of an irrepressible concert conducted by the noted Dutch conductor
Reinbert de Leeuw.
