Amy Kerswell

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Amy Kerswell graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from St. Olaf College, where she studied voice and sang in the St. Olaf Choir. She previously taught General Music in the Pasadena district in Houston, as well as the St. Paul’s Public School district in Minnesota. In addition to teaching, Amy directed choirs at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Minnesota, as the Youth Director of music where she directed choirs of singers ranging from grades PreK-12. Amy has sung in professional choirs such as Bach Society Houston, The Singers-Minnesota Choral Artists, and Magnum Chorum. This is Amy’s second year singing with The Houston Chamber Choir. Amy is currently the Lower School Music Teacher at St. Thomas Episcopal Church & School. Amy is a section leader at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church and is pursuing her graduate degree at the University of St. Thomas Houston, where she is studying to complete her Master of Sacred Music in Voice
