Mariam Haider

A Houston native, Mariam graduated with Collegiate honors and summa cum laude with a degree in Public Health from the University of Houston’s College of Education in 2022. She greatly enjoyed singing with the UH Concert Chorale under the direction of Dr. Betsy Cook Weber and Dr. Jeb Mueller. During this time, she performed in Washington D.C. for Congress and competed in Bergen, Norway, in the Grieg International Choir Festival. She also enjoyed performing in Dido and Aeneas with Ars Lyrica Houston. Mariam has made her mark in the medical field by publishing in the American Academy of Neurology, working as a Phlebotomy teacher at Houston Community College, and by being a medical assistant at Origin Spine Institute. Mariam’s hobbies include cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Currently, Mariam is working on her application for medical school and is delighted for her first season with the Houston Chamber Choir.
