ABIGAIL LYSINGER
Abigail Lysinger, alto, is a recent graduate from the University of Houston where she received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance. This is her first season with the Houston Chamber Choir.
Abigail will also appear this season as a soloist and chorister with Mercury Chamber Singers, Houston Symphony Chorus, and as a staff singer at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Houston. She was a VOCES8 Scholar in the 2023-2024 season, where she had the opportunity to perform in their LIVE From London series and at the ACDA Eastern Conference. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan where she had the opportunity to premiere and record various works as a soloist and chorister with Eugene Rogers and the UM Chamber Choir.
Outside of choral singing, Abigail is an active opera singer and was recently engaged as a Resident Artist with Teatro Nuovo. She also enjoys teaching private voice lessons to all ages in the Houston area. A native Texan, her love for singing began at an early age as a member of the Dallas Opera Children’s Chorus and Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas.
