Amy Kerswell

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Amy Kerswell has been a member of the Houston Chamber Choir since 2022. A regular performer in the Houston choral scene, she has also sung with Mercury, Cor Mundi, and Bach Society Houston, with whom she performed at the 2023 Bachfest in Leipzig, Germany, as the only American professional ensemble to appear that year.

Prior to relocating to Texas, Amy sang with The Singers—Minnesota Choral Artists and Magnum Chorum. Her choral roots began at St. Olaf College, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and sang with the renowned St. Olaf Choir, touring extensively across the United States as well as Japan and South Korea. She went on to complete a Master of Sacred Music at the University of St. Thomas, Houston.

In addition to her performing career, Amy has been teaching music since 2017 and currently serves as the Lower School Music Teacher at Saint Thomas Episcopal School in Meyerland, as well as Director of Children's Music at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Rice Village.
