Biography

Ashley Stouffer is a native Houstonian and has had the privilege of making music with some of the city’s most exciting organizations. A graduate of the Houston Grand Opera High School Voice Studio, she earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education with summa cum laude honors from the University of Houston. During her undergraduate studies, she performed in productions at Moores Opera House, was selected as a Student Conductor for the Texas Choral Directors Association Convention, and competed as a soloist and ensemble member with the Concert Chorale in Wales and France. 

Ashley holds a decade of experience in education and has had the privilege of hosting many student teachers, creating educational resources, and organizing district-wide events. Her approach to teaching is rooted in making music accessible and enjoyable for all students. In 2020, she was named the Cypress Fairbanks ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and Region 4 Representative.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, crafting, coffee, and writing goofy songs on the ukulele. She is excited to be a member of the Houston Chamber Choir team and immerse herself back in the world of choral music at the professional level.
