BRIAN MILLER

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Brian joined the Houston Chamber Choir as Executive Director in 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in professional choral music and nonprofit management. Since then, he's focused on building the organizational infrastructure to support long-term growth, from implementing new systems and expanding programming to guiding the ensemble through a successful artistic leadership transition. Beyond the Chamber Choir, Brian stays actively involved in Houston's arts community through board service, grant review panels, and mentorship programs.

Before joining the Houston Chamber Choir, Brian served as Manager of the Houston Symphony Chorus, where he coordinated all operational aspects of the ensemble. Prior to his work in arts administration, he spent eight years directing award-winning choral programs at 6A Texas high schools.

He holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Stephen F. Austin State University, where he studied with Dr. Tim King and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Southwestern University, where he studied with Dr. Kenny Sheppard.

When not in the office, you can find Brian exploring Houston's arts scene with friends, singing (in the car and everywhere else), or hanging out on the couch watching movies with his wife, Melanie, and their dog, Puccini. The Houston arts community is his community, and he's honored to help guide the continued success of this Grammy-winning ensemble.
