giselle bautista
Giselle Bautista is a Mexican-American mezzo-soprano from Houston, Texas. She recently received her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston, where she was the alto soloist in Haydn’s Missa in angustiis with the Moores School Symphony and Choirs. Giselle was also recently featured as a soloist and chorister with Mercury Chamber Singers. She received her Bachelor of Music from Baylor Univeristy where she was a regular soloist and avid member of the choral program. While at Baylor, she was a soloist and ensemble member with Waco’s premiere professional choral ensemble, Vox Seraphim. Giselle is currently a member of the Schola Cantorum at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, where she was highlighted as a soloist in Dvorak’s Stabat Mater and Liszt’s Via Crucis. This season, she will also perform with the professional choral ensemble, Cor Mundi, directed by American composer, Daniel Knaggs. Giselle is also an opera singer and has performed with the Moores Opera Center, Baylor Opera Theatre, Quisisana Resort in Lovell, Maine, Opera Neo in San Diego, CA, and the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston. Giselle is currently a private voice teacher at her alma mater, Cypress Falls High School.
