Joel goodloe

Baritone Joel Goodloe has been performing with the Houston Chamber Choir since 2019. A native of Richmond, Virginia, he enjoys a multifaceted career as a singer, conductor, and arts administrator.

Prior to living in Houston, he appeared regularly with the Pittsburgh Camerata and Chatham Baroque, and served as Chorus Director for Resonance Works | Pittsburgh, preparing choruses for opera, oratorio, and concert performances while conducting select performances.

Goodloe is a former Young Artist with Charlottesville Opera and a winner of the Pittsburgh Concert Society Young Artist Auditions.

A recitalist with a particular affinity for German and French art song, he most recently performed Schubert's Winterreise at the National Opera Center in New York City.

As a conductor, he has guest conducted the Akron Symphony Chorus and Carnegie Mellon University choirs, where he has also been a guest lecturer. He was previously recognized as a Pittsburgh Business Times 30 Under 30 honoree for his contributions to the arts.

Goodloe currently serves as Director of Artistic Operations at Houston Grand Opera, having previously served as Associate Artistic Director of Pittsburgh Festival Opera. joelgoodloe.com
