Rebecca Castillo

A native of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Marie Castillo is an active performer with several professional choral ensembles, including the Houston Chamber Choir, EXIGENCE, Cor Mundi, and the Mercury Chamber Singers. She earned a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Music from Sam Houston State University. Following a decade of teaching in public schools, where she directed award-winning choirs, she moved to her current role as the Director of Music and Worship at Trinity Lutheran Church Downtown. Additionally, Rebecca co-teaches the performing ensemble and training choir for the Segundo Barrio Children’s Chorus. She has recently begun to take a more active role in arts leadership by serving on the Houston Chamber Choir Board as the Musician’s Representative (2021-2023). She is currently a board member of Casulana | Women’s Choir of Houston.
