In addition to performing in his fourth season with HCC, Travis has performed with Mercury Chamber Ensemble, the Houston Symphony Chorus, and has served as a staff singer at Moody Methodist, and Christ Church Cathedral under HCC founder Bob Simpson. Travis is the Associate Choir Director at Clear Springs High School in League City. In his first two years teaching, he has earned several accolades with his choirs including; Division Champions in the 2026 Celebration of Excellence national recorded competition, Best in Festival at American Classic's 2026 Bluebonnet Classic, and Best in Class at the 2025 and 2026 Shadow Creek Choral Festival. He also served as Music Director for the school's production of Hadestown which won Best Musical at the 2025 Tommy Tune Awards, Godspell Jr. which the school was invited to perform at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland, and the school's production of The Addams Family which won 8 awards at the 2026 Tommy Tune Awards including Best Musical, and Best Music Direction. He also works as a music director for the award-winning community theatre Inspiration Stage who frequently pilot and premier new shows for Disney Theatrical Productions and Music Theatre International. Travis is a 2024 graduate from the University of Houston where he studied under Dr. Betsy Cook Weber and Hector Vasquez.
